Welcome to ShoeReminder. By using the service, you agree to these terms.

Service

ShoeReminder helps you manage and rotate your running shoes by using your Strava activities and gear. We use the Strava API to provide these features. This application uses the Strava API but is not endorsed by Strava.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use ShoeReminder.

Your account and authorization

• You connect your Strava account via OAuth and approve the scopes we request that are necessary to operate the service.
• You may revoke access at any time at strava.com/settings/apps.
• After revocation, we stop processing Strava data and delete associated tokens and stored gear info within a reasonable period.

Acceptable use

• Don’t misuse the service or attempt to access it in ways other than the provided interface.
• Don’t infringe others’ rights or violate Strava’s terms or applicable law.
• Don’t attempt to scrape, resell, or republish Strava data from ShoeReminder.

Strava API conditions

• Use limitation: We use Strava data only to provide ShoeReminder’s features you request. We don’t use it for advertising or unrelated purposes.
• Data minimization and retention: We store only minimal metadata (e.g., gear list, activity IDs/titles needed for reminders) and delete cached Strava data promptly when you revoke access or request deletion.
• No redistribution: You may not resell, repackage, or redistribute Strava content obtained via ShoeReminder.
• Attribution: “Powered by Strava” appears in the app. See Strava API Agreement.
• Independent terms: Your Strava account is governed by the Strava Terms and Strava Privacy Policy.

Privacy and data

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights under GDPR and similar laws. By using the service, you agree to the processing described there, including the use of Strava data solely to provide requested features.

Third‑party services

ShoeReminder relies on Strava and infrastructure providers (e.g., Cloudflare). We are not responsible for third‑party services, and their terms and privacy policies apply. See the Strava Terms, Strava Privacy Policy, and Strava API Agreement.

Changes and availability

We may change or discontinue features, and the service may be unavailable from time to time. We’ll try to give reasonable notice of material changes.

Disclaimers

ShoeReminder is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of or inability to use ShoeReminder.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or create risk or legal exposure for us.

Governing law

These terms are governed by applicable law where we are established, except where mandatory law in your country provides otherwise.
